Been home due to surgery. Going to store to get a new bestselling book to read. Any suggestions?
No into westerns or history. Thanks.
Water For Elephants (I heard that it's a heartwrenching tale), White Oleander (An excellent book describing a girl's very messed up life in which she mainly moved from foster to foster family), Around The Block (A memoir on a young woman's travels to communistic countries back when they were more controversial; it was actually really humorous), Lovely Bones, etc. And I've heard that James Patterson writes the best adventure books ever; my friend's completely obsessed with him; try his Maximum Ride series.

I love anything by Jane Green….her books are really easy to relate to. I've also just finished reading Emily Griffin's books. They are a fun, easy read without being too trashy. I'd also recomend the Harry Potter series if you haven't already read them.

I love reading classics.. they never fail you. Pride and Prejudice has never failed me, but u must've probably read that already. If you want something horror-y i'd say dracula or silence of the lambs.. that involvs thinking though.. i also love sydney sheldon.. his stories really captivate you..

If there were only one book (66 making up one) of which I could take with me to isolation, it would be the Bible. No other written word compares. May God bless you in recovery.

Try the Kusiel Legacy (A Trilogy) by Jaquelin Carey. It's brilliant, suspenseful, sexy, exciting, romantic, mysterious, and magical to say the least.

The Things They Carried by Tim O'Brien
Terrific book that involves storytelling as a medium of truth, as opposed to the journalistic fact-based reporting. As a work of fiction it is one of the most important books written in recent years.

Ooops! I'm getting this posted late; I hope you haven't gone to the store yet! ^_^
I'd have to recommend a Dean Koontz book. His stories are engaging and he's easy to read. If you're just starting out on Koontz, try Watchers or Fear Nothing.
